Vio has just had a holiday in the UK. She was mainly based in London, but came up to see us the weekend before last.

Since it was so topical, we decided that we would visit Glenturret Distillery, to find out whether they had taken on a new cat and if we could meet it. (Vio has a picture which I am sure she will post).

We saw the statue to Towser, their world-champion mouser.

Some unusual road signs in these parts!

Vio brought the most adorable cat beds that she had made, one each for the girls (who were anti-social throughout the whole time Vio was here :o ). This is Samantha's bed.

... and she LOVES it! :D

It is a cat rule....never show gratitude or even appreciation when presented with a gift. You must wait until the giver is safely out of town! :D :D

For the most part, I totally agree with the above.

However, my kitty, Sugar, received a lovely Christmas cat toy. He played with it, tossed it in the air, rolled on it etc. while the givers were present. They left - and he never, ever touched it again.

Karen and Vio - how nice you had such a good visit.

The catbed gifts look awesome.

I liked the Towser story too!

What great pictures!! I'm glad you had fun! :D Wish I could have been there too! It's good to see Samantha enjoying her cat bed, she's SO cute!!

Towser must have been a very special cat, but I'm sure Dylan will fill his position. :)

How fun. Shows that you only need two pettalkers to have a pet talk party.:D

I am glad to see that the girls appreciate Juni's "hard" work on the catbeds :). Pichu helped too, but unfortunately I didn't take pictures of him.

The quality control took a lot of time and effort

Spot Karen's 4th cat :) - Apparently he feels like home at Karen's place

How many cats can you spot in this picture? :)

Should be three :D

We really loved to meet Karen and her husband, who were the greatest hosts - distillery, picnic, cats. We had a very nice time there. I loved to see the kitties, even though they didn't want to come close. I will definitely go to Scotland again - one of the most beautiful places.

Excellent job of quality control, Juni! Those beds are so comfortable, thanks to your efforts. Jessica spent the whole night curled up on hers. I'm starting to think that the girls can read, because Samantha always sleeps on her own bed, Jessica slept on the one that says "Jessica", and Daisy's is free for the day she decides it might be safe to try it out! :D

Juni's quality control is very thorough, it seems. She's such a sweet girl. :) Glad you had a great time! Karen's place looks wonderful! I hope to visit some day.

Looks like a wonderful time!

I also see only two in the second picture and absolutely none in the first! Time for bifocals I guess..... ;) :D

Grey cats are very difficult to spot, aren't they? I can only see two in the picture as well, although there are a number of places that the third could be hiding.

I'm assuming that I am looking for Micky in the other picture? Micky thinks he lives here. Being orange and white though, he is not normally difficult to spot! :D

Yes, there are only 2 cats (visible) in the picture. I have to dig for the one where the third cat is visible. It should be right behind the grill :)
