Dog nipping after being teased

Hey everyone!

Our pastor has a pug, female, that is about three years old. She was recently tormented by some people while she was out in the yard (they threw water balloons at an eight pound dog!) and she has been nipping people ever since. She nipped me on our first encounter. She hasn't just been nipping strangers, though. She nipped someone who visits her on a weekly basis.

Any advice?

hmm maybe shes associating people with the water balloons and now has formed agression towards them, i would start showing her a water balloon and give her a treat when shes near it so she associates water balloons with treats just a suggestion though

Hmmmmm. That is puzzleing..She is probably scared that someone might try to through a water balloon at her:(

I would try to post this in dog behavior as well as in here:) You might get a little more advice!
