Dog Beach with Sunflowers

Duke and I decided to try out his new ride so we headed to the dog beach. I had bought these sunflowers the week before thinking they'd be great on the beach. I didn't get an early start like I wanted so we got there in the middle of the day about 12:30. We were both miserable but I managed to get some good pics. He really didn't put his ears up too much until I let him soak in the water. I won't be taking him again until it's cool. It was just about too much for him yesterday and that makes me sad. But, we had a good time and got some cute pics to show for it.

I don't know what kind of critters make the deep holes around there but it made a great place to hold the flowers.

He gets tired a lot quicker now. This was just a short trip and he curled up to sleep on the way home. I will be happy when it's cooler so we can go again. It will be more enjoyable to both of us. Hope you enjoyed!

Oh Duke you look so releved in thart water. I just love the pictures of him. I'd not be moving much in that heat either . I like about 76 degrees but warmer and its to much. We have been in the 90's for the last week thank God I'm in an air condiationed building.

aww your water is so pretty there! i took bandit to the beach once and the water at our beachs is REALLY dirty.. like you cant even see your feet in the shallow end. But bandit did NOT like it at all.. lol

Thanks a lot everyone! I decorated a frame today and put one of those pics in it. I'll take a pic of it and put it here so you can see it. I think it came out really well, if I do say so myself.

Duke is one fine looking man!! Maybe we'll get some cooler weather soon Duke and then you can really enjoy the beach. We can understand how you feel big guy!! The heat is about to get us too. Wonderful pics and the sunflowers are so gorgeous on the beach. I would never have thought of putting the two together but the combination is very very attractive and artsy. Very nice!!:D

Here's the frame I decorated. I covered the matt with some of the fabric of Duke's bandana and used a few of the sunflowers for the frame. I'm taking this to the hospital with me. That should keep me cheery until I get to come home.
