Scotty kitten heading to the vet.

This is Scotty.

He is as lovable as he is cute.

But his ribs stick out on his one side at a very strange angle. And as he grows, his back (at his shoulders) seems to sag like a sway back.

You can see it in these photos but it is more pronounced in person.

He goes to the vet tomorrow at 11 am (with Charlie, I have to work). I wonder what they will find? I hope it is not serious. :(

Awwwwwwww! He's so adorable! He looks like Lightning when we found him, except Lightning is tan and black and wasn't as skinny. Lightning had (has) big gigantic ears, too. The vet said, "What are these satilite dishes doing on top of this cat's head! He's gonna grow right into those ears." He did-and his ears are still gigantic for his gigantic head! :rolleyes: :D I hope nothing is wrong!!!!!!!!!!! ((((((((((HUGS!!!)))))))))) I'm praying for him!

Scotty is fine.

YES, his ribs are not the same shape as other cats, but the vet says this will be a part of his unique personality.

The vet feels that Scotty either had an injury early in life or malnutrition. Since he DID come into the rescue at about 4 weeks of age as a VERY sick little kitten (close to death) this might just be the case.

So Scotty should grow up just fine. :D :D

woohoo horray !!!! Excellent !!! I am sooo happy he will grow up to be a healthy, happy and gorgeous baby. After having such a hard start in life he deserves a break !!!! Give that baby some belly rubs and kisses for me Jen. :D
