Don Juan's mom

I stopped in Petsmart last night to buy some Pounce Tartar Control Treats (price has gone up  ) and a package of Temptations for Don Juan and Zerlina. I was looking over the cat toys when a woman approached me and asked for advice. Seems her teenage son (who was with her) had found a kitten. They have dogs, but this will be their first cat. They were looking for all the stuff the little one would need.
I told them to get kitten food (the little guy is undernourished), pointed them to the small litter boxes, and passed along the suggestion of using non-clumping litter until he is at least four months old. Also told them I wasn't an expert, as I had adopted my cats as adults.
I suggested they also check out the local Humane Society's website www.hssv.org (http://www.hssv.org) and of course pointed them to Pet Talk.
Here's hoping. :)
