What breed is Shaggy?

Just wondering if anyone would know what breed Shaggy is? We were told he was a purebred Rottweiler(we hadn't seen him until my dad went to pick him up) It's so obvious that it isn't true!! So I'm guessing sheperd x rottie does anyone else think he could have something else in him? After staring at him for awhile I thought maybe golden retriever but I'm not sure!

He definately looks like a german shepherd maybe with a hint of rottie but definitely not a golden retriever. He's a cutie that's for sure :)

or German Shepher/Doberman.

I've seen quite a few pure GSDs that look like him so maybe he's not a mix at all....It's hard to say for sure though.

Thats what I was thinking too. I can hardly see any Rottie in him at all... maybe its just me? :o

there is defenilty no golden in him but there is for sure german shepard and maybe rottie

Yes, I know sheperd is in him, maybe he is a rottie or dobie mix.

Just wondering, if he were a rottie mix wouldn't he have more of a build on him?

I'll try and get more full body pics of him tomorrow, but I definitely don't think that he is a purebred german sheperd.

I did a seach on Dogster for German Shepherd/Doberman mixes.. and they look a LOT like your Shaggy boy.

He looks alot like a GSD to me. He could be a mix, but not alot. One of my husband's friends have a GSD and he looks alot like Shaggy.

He could have the build of a Shepherd but characteristics of a rott. :)

I don't think he's mixed either. He's probably purebred, but poorly bred. That list of dogs Vette posted look more like Heeler mixes to me.

Can you take some other shots from a few steps away? Try to get a good front shot and a side shot of him stacked.

Oh, I would say a GSD, if he is mixed, I would say a tad bit of husky!

Wow! He sure looks a lot like my Logan except for the ears and she has a bit more of a *shaggy* tail! I dunno, but I swear I see GSD. Wait til you get "boinged" on the back of the legs to be herded (and black and blue) then you'll know for sure! ;) :D Whatever..he sure is a handsome dude!
