Hi All.

Maggy was hospitalized this morning. She was vomiting over the weekend, but was still pretty active, then this morning, after I coaxed her out from under the bed (very unsual for her as she is normally ready to play), she was shaking like a leaf. I thought she had a fever so I rushed her to the vet.

Well, no fever, and she passed the physical exam with flying colors. The vet wanted to keep her to do some blood work and get some fluids in her. I won't get her back until tomorrow, pending they don't find anything.

Please pray for her as I'm terribly worried.

Thanks all!

I just heard from the vet that she made it through the night without any vomiting or diarrhea and that I should be able to take her home today. :D He did say there were some slight abnormalities in her blood work but we'll talk about that more later.

My home felt so empty last night!

Thank you everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! We really appreciate it!

I know what you mean about the house being empty. I hope the abnormalities aren't serious. I'll bet you'll be glad when she's back home. Glad she's at least feeling better.

Maggy came home last night!!! I picked her up from the vet and said those "abnormalities" in her blood were nothing significant. Then why bring it up and scare the tar (for lack of a non-four letter word) out of me? He said she did fine and thinks she had a small bout of gastritis. She shouldn't have any more problems with it, thank goodness.

I made her a special dinner of chicken and rice which she ate up in a New York minute, but wasn't up for playing. That suprised me because after her Retina hernia surgery, she immediately went looking for her ball as soon as she came home.

She was a little bit more active this morning, but probably still pretty tired from being hospitalized. She ate again this morning, hopefully without incident.

Thank you again, PT for your thoughts and prayers for my sweet little girl. It was so good to have her home again. :D

Yay! What great news. I hope she's back to normal in no time.

Do you have to feed her a special diet or anything?

Lobodeb

No, the vet said to just give her the chicken and rice for a couple of days, then I can slowly start bringing her regular food back.
