I took Snowy to another dog show on Sunday and I am quite plesed with the result. Snowy is getting used to dog shows now that she has entered for the third time. She didn't win anything at the puppy class because ..umh.. we were late and I don't think the judge was too impressed :o

anyway here are some pictures

I entered Snowy at the All Variety Sporting Class where Snowy had to compete with other terriers, hounds, retrievers, and spaniels.

A black labrador won the first place, a cocker spaniel won the second place and...

Snowy got a green ribbon for winning the third place :)

at the end of the show there was a fun class where the judge picked the dogs she would like to take home :D
All dogs from previous classes, sporting, non-sporting, and mix-breed compete in this class

Snowy behaved very well. Look how pretty she sits and keep her eyes at me all the time.

She got a yellow ribbon for this category for the 4th place and I was so happy that Snowy got her 2nd ribbon of the day.

Agility pictures on the next post...

we also watched an agility show held by a local dog training club. here are the team before the show:

most of the dogs are border collies. not uncommon I guess for an agility team.

I couldn't get good action pictures because of where I was standing and how fast the dogs were moving but here are some pictures I managed to take.

the first border collie who was fast but not very accurate, she is still learning.

a very graceful german shephard, certainly my favourite.

a short haired border collie which was very fast and accurate

this is the best dog of the team. he is a staffie cross who has been training the longest.

I didn't get the pictures of all the dogs but here are some of them parading after the show with the well deserved cheers from the spectators.

I am thinking of entering the Agility Training when Snowy is a bit older so watch this space :D

Congrats! Very good job! :D That's so great that you are getting so involved. I'm certainly jealous. I won't be able to do conformation until next year! :(

I'm not getting my pup until next year. I'm going to take him to the shows in California and Alberta hopefully next year.

well at least being a dog show photographer and having been to so many shows you have known exactly what to do in the ring that you'll find no problem next year :) good luck with your future pup!

Thanks! :) I really haven't been to so many shows. I only just started some dog show photography a couple of months ago. So far the only people that ask me to take pictures at shows are my friends who show their dogs, but I'm hoping to branch it out into a real profession. It would be alot of fun. Sorry to let the thread get off track!

Congratulations William and Snowy!!! You have gotten ribbons in every show she has gone to, haven't you? And she is still just learning. As our pretty little Snowy gets more experience on how to work the ring, she will be unbeatable. :D

The agility pics are great. Fun for everyone.
