Hats off to all you groomers I have hair up my nose, in my eyes, all over the carpet, on a blanket, in my eyes and every other place imaginable.

I bought some human clippers at costco for $24.99, they worked very well I just messed up his mustache a bit but I figure I will learn. If I do a bit every week instead of waiting 8 weeks it should be easiers.

LOL thats funny. :D

i know how you feel. i groom my own dog too. luckily Kirby has probably been to the groomers with his pervious owner and knows how to behave. so its really easy to groom him. but the hiar has a mind of it own. espeically when he shakes off,, it really goes all over the place..LOL

Thanks everyone! I was actually surpirsed how well he turned out, it was mostly really time consuming.

I have taken him in twice to he is sort of use to it, it was getting so expensive $35.00 plus tip and it was a big hassle.

He has hair any woman human could envy it is just gorgeous hair.

Bubba would be adorable if you had totally messed up and he wound up totally bald! LOL! What a little cutie! I get so excited when I hear of people trying their hand at grooming. I am totally in favor of everyone giving it a try at least once. Yes, it is time consuming and mistakes will be made, but in the long run the dog doesn't care how they look and you have had a good bonding session and saved some money in the process! ;) I have made some miscuts over the years (still do!) but I find that dog hair grows like a weed so in no time the mistake has grown out.

My daughter even clips her cat in the summertime and gives her baths! She has a VERY tolerant kitty. I would not attempt it on either of mine, that's for sure, but fortunately they aren't long-haired cats! ;)
