Here we go again - are you ready? :D Enjoy!

Puzzle 113

Here are the rules:

1. You may only guess one letter at a time.

2. After you have guessed a letter, you must wait for another player to guess a letter before you can go again.

3. The host of the game responding to a guess does not count as a turn. Should you choose a letter, then receive a response from the member host, you must wait for the next member to guess a letter.

4. One point will be awarded for each correct consonent, 2 points for each correct vowel.

5. Only six misses are allowed in the game.

6. If you wish to guess the phrase, send it to me via Pet Talk personal email. [This is accessible via the 'PM' or 'Profile' buttons on any of my posts.] DO NOT post it on the forum. If you wish to guess a letter, post it on the forum.

7. You must have submitted a correct letter to submit your solution. Unlike letters, if you submit a wrong solution, you are disqualified from continuing in that puzzle.

8. The player who correctly guesses the phrase wins the game. If no one has guessed it correctly after six misses, then the player with the most points wins the game.

And here is what you win...you get to create the next puzzle. (Should you win the game, and do not care to host the next puzzle, you may pass your puzzle play to the member with the next highest points)

Here is the puzzle:

“- ---- ------- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---------- -- - ----- ----- -- --- --- ------- -- ------- ---- ----- ---- ---- --- -------, --- --- -- --- ------------- -----.” -------- ---------.

an "I" please.

This will be very interesting in the Pet General forum, we no longer figure one word would at least be "dog". Ha ha ha.

Heh, heh. Or canine! I was kind of wondering what sort of animal would be in the quote -- it would be an interesting side puzzle, but I'm not sure how we'd do that?

For some reason, I think it's about rabbits, but haven't checked to see if there are any 6 or 7 letter combos in likely positions. What do you think?

This is how far we got. Good luck to all of you!

Sorry, no color, I too tired.

AmberLee E’s, 18=36 - L’s 3=3 (39 points)

Now it looks like this: Sorry, but in last word before the name, there are one too many hyphen. I have corrected it in my next post. So sorry - it's my first time doing this.

“I ha-e no-i-e- -ha- -ha- -a-s -os- a--re-ia-e in - h---n -ein- is no- -he a-ili-- -o -ro---e

Randi

Fuzzy have posted the right guess and I have asked him if he wants to host the next puzzle. If not, you're free to guess. Otherwise I'll pass it on to the next on the list.

Hope you have enjoyed it! :)

I think I will pass it on to the person with the highest points, Momofuzzyfaces.

Former User

And can we have it shown what the sentence is? I mean all the letters on the right places, or do we still need to guess? :)

Randi
02-21-2002, 03:12 PM
Casper & Kitty!

I suppose you're still all welcome to guess until the next right answer. Fuzzy didn't want to host the next, as you probably know.

If no one have put a guess in tomorrow by 16.00 GMT. Perhaps I should let the game go to the next on the list?

I'll be online tomorrow around 12.00 GMT. Goodnight!

"See you"! :)

Fuzzy317
02-21-2002, 03:45 PM
I think after its guessed, and the person doesn't care to host the next one, it automatically goes to the person with the highest points?

momoffuzzyfaces
02-21-2002, 10:37 PM
If you would like me to do the next puzzle I'll give it a try. I thought I'd add a twist to it. Instead of a quote, I'd give clues to the type of animal. The puzzle would solve the same way but you would have to guess what kind of animal it is by the clues. To win you would need to do both.
What does everyone think? It's fine with me to continue with the current puzzle too. Or if someone else wants to do the puzzle.

Randi

Momofuzzzyfaces! You're next on the list, so it's fine with me that you host #114.

If none of the other players mind the new type of game you suggested, go for it, I think it sounds like a good idea! We can always go back to the old one in case the others don't like it!

Lets keep this in Pet General anyway!

Thanks everybody for participating, hope you enjoyed it! :D

Here's the solution:

“I have noticed that what cats most appreciate in a human being is not the ability to produce food which they take for granted,
but his or her entertainment value.” Geoffrey Household.
