Hi!, I am new to this forum. And I very happy I found this one. To chat about my new pet, and to others about theirs. :)
I have purchased a new friend for the first time in my life into our family. He is a Black Bear Hamster, and my wife, son and I named him "Ben" I was told he was about 5 months old from the Pet store (Clerk), and lived in our home for about 6 days now. His very first couple days I can tell he was very depressed, and was more depressed in the store. Just so bored, and always sleeping. In his new home, always had a cycle of waking up every 5 minutes, then back to sleep. Now, for the last few days, it has increased to the point now. He is very active from 4 in the afternoon until 4am in the morning. I can tell his behaviour has changed over the days, by doing a lot of reading. He is one happy and spoiled hamster. He sure can make the family laugh and he prob doesn't even know it. I have captured a few photos, I would love to share.

Also I would like to know. I really like to take Ben outdoors. Let him roll around in his ball on the lawn. Can I do this? If so, for how long?
