Valerie - this totally brought tears to my eyes!! This was a beautiful post!!!! I just love that it included some of my girl too! Duke is such an amazing boy with the most expressive face I've seen!! He is just like a human in so many ways! A wise man with so much to give to the world - for the one's who will take time to listen.

This thread is definitely being bookmarked! Thank you for sharing some insight into this gorgeous animal's life - you're special boy, Duke!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this thread. I'm going to be bookmarking it too, I made a folder not long ago for favorite bookmarked threads to look back at and this is definitely going in. Beautiful thread Val, I too almost felt choked up while reading it and going through the pictures. I can feel your joy of watching the dogs enjoy life so much. We can't stop smiling Val and you know what? We don't want to!! Your pictures are wonderful and the captions are so well thought out and so perfect for each shot. Great pictures and great captions, Val. Duke is a lucky dog to have such a wonderul mommy. I never noticed he has spots on his tongue. Dazzi has spots on hers and Taggerts is very spotchy. As others have said Duke is very expressive of his feelings in these pictures.

I didn't look at them. Too hard. I just think it's good to give some new life to the thread instead of starting a new one. That way all the newer people can see them all, you know? Glad you did bump it because I hadn't seen the last from Cincy's mom. Thanks for bumping it. I think it's kind of an honor to Duke for you to do so. Plus, there are a lot of good pics here.

I'm bumping this thread up again after having spent some time reading the wonderful biography thread of Glacier's dogs. I'm already leaky-eyed from that one - might as well go two for two. It wasn't until I went back and read all the posts that I realized that Duke has since passed away.....I am so sorry......The pictures absolutely showed what a great and happy dog Duke was (and I love that tongue!). I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures of him and I think he is ingrained in my brain forever.
