I had the day off so I went with my parents on a little road trip. We took all the dogs and drove to Bear Lake then back through the Uinta mountains. I had never been to Bear Lake before and hadn't been to the Uintas in years so it was a really nice day. :) I hope you enjoy the pictures, I know there's many but I narrowed them down from a couple hundred. :o

WOW! What gorgeous pictures. That place is beautiful. I love the second action shot of Bebo. Hehe, Syd's ears flapping in the wind is so cute! The one of all three is great, too.

Did Reggie ride on the floor of the car the whole time? That's so cute.

I wish Delta didn't have such restrictions on their flights because Ki would love that place. How far is it from you?

These definetly cheered me up, thank you very much.

Yeah he did ride on the floor almost the whole time.........not sure if it's because he preferred it or because he couldn't fit on the seat with the other two!

I wish Ki could come here in the summer too! :) Bear Lake is at least 3 hrs away, Uintas at least an hour.

Fantastic pictures, Amy! I loved each and every one of them. LOL...Brandon's girlfriend came in just now and wanted to know when we took Tori on a trip like that and why they didn't get to go too...lol. I scrolled through the pics kind of fast and asked if she thought I got some good pics of Tori before I told her it wasn't my little girl;). She thought they looked just alike at first!

Love the pics! Looks like a wonderful place to take the pups.

Hugs...Robin :)

What beautiful photos, the scenery is awesome! It's images like that that always end up filling my heart to the point of bursting. Sorry, I'm a dork, nature knocks my socks off. ;) Your pups do a good job of sneaking into my heart, too. :)

Amy, you have got to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Those rocks were so neat. My favorite place would have to be the waterfall, though. Then, to put Nebo in with that beautiful scenery, that makes it even more beautiful. He looks so happy in that video. Glad you had a good time.

The schnauzers are so cute, too - the sleepy pup one with Syd curled up under Nebo's head is precious! i liked the video too - Nebo looks so happy jumping around. Thanks for sharing all the pictures with us.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos! :)

How do you keep nebo sooo white?!

He gets a bath about once a month........he's due for one right now. He just seems to stay clean though, dirt just wipes off him. Plus that tag holder has helped a lot with the tag stains on his neck.

Fantastic piccies and vid! What really interested me is that all you dogs are on leads. Currently having a running battle with hubby who insists that Tobey would have more fun if he was let off his lead - my view is that he is having a great time as it is and is not reliable or trained enough to come back when called....your opinions would be much appreciated

I'm almost speechless! As I was scolling through the pics, I kept thinking, ooooh! That's my favorite, then I'd come accross another and say, "no that's my favorite," and on and on....

Beautiful country, even more beautiful doggies.

I LOVE this picture:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v14/wolf_Q/MyDogs/bearlake00.jpg

What alert dogs with big grins! There MUSTA been food involved!!!!!!

The rest of the pictures are beautiful as well, such pretty scenery, and of course beautiful doggies to pose in front of the scenery!

(Reminds me, Gina's Ark is somewhere in Utah right now for three weeks, and she promised to take a ton of pictures, too! (Bryce Canyon - dunno where that is in relation to you, or Bear Mountain).

Not only is Nebo just as handsome as can be, but he sits so nicely for his pictures - he's a well-trained Pet Talk dog!

I love every single one of these photos!!! The beach is beautiful and the waterfalls...oh man, I'm moving!!! That is just the type of place I'd love to live (other than the snow still on the ground :o )

I would have to frame the photos of Nebo in front of the waterfalls...they're just gorgeous!

Amy, where did you get a tag holder from? I'd love to use one on Sherman - his neck always looks dirty, but it's from the aluminum tags.

Well there's no other word for these photos, yet again, than stunning! Nebo is as beautiful to look at as the scenery, put them together and you have post card material! I really like this one in particular for some reason:

Mirror Lake is just stunning! I love bodies of fresh water for some reason....perhaps because I'm surrounded by ocean. ;)
I also loved Syd's silly ears in the pic Anna posted. Your doggies have such fun hikes and adventures! Lucky poochies. :)
Thanks for sharing these fantastic pics from your road trip with us! :D

Nebo is a siberian husky and it's well-known they are very hard to train off lead. I'm sure he would love running free but there's the risk of him never coming back, getting hit by a car, etc. So rather than risk that he's always on a leash unless in a fenced area. He has plenty of fun with a leash on....usually in places like this I put the retractable leash on him which allows a lot more freedom. I definitely think you should keep Tobey on leash unless he is 100% reliable to return when called, and even then only in areas where there's not many people/cars/etc.

Oh yes we were eating lunch there was food involved. ;) I'm actually going to go down to Southern Utah at the end of July, probably going to Bryce Canyon too. I think it's about 5 hours away from me.

Amy, where did you get a tag holder from? I'd love to use one on Sherman - his neck always looks dirty, but it's from the aluminum tags.

I found mine at Strut Your Mutt but they sell them online too, here's a link that has them (called Quiet Spot tag silencer) http://www.sitstay.com/store/equip/collars1.shtml#EQ10

Have fun! Take some pictures. :) As far as I know that is the rule, I didn't see any signs about dogs...there were some labs off-leash at Bear Lake and nobody seemed to care.
