OK, so the last time I posted was probably back in October or November, when I had 2 shelties and one Shepherd/Rott x. On Dec. 20th we lost one of the shelties in her sleep and on January 14th we lost the second after he had a major stroke.

On March 28th I adopted a new dog, a Pit Bull named Pheonix. I work at PetSmart and we do dog adoptions every Saturday, and the organization at our store had rescued a litter of pit bulls back a year ago this month. There were 13 puppies in all and over the course of about a year all but Pheonix found forever homes. Long story short, Pheonix fits in very well here.

On to the photos!

Thanks for the reply :)

Yeah, December to January was pretty tough. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things to go through, and losing 2.. Unless you've experienced it, is hard to explain.

But Pheonix has really helped. He is my goofy boy.

I, too, am sorry to hear about your shelties, I cannot imagine how hard that must have been to lose two babies in such a short period of time.

But I am so glad that you have decided to share India and Pheonix with us. They are both gorgeous dogs. India is a big beautiful girl, and Pheonix does have a face that is hard to resist. :D What a great family. :)

That's a cool way to spell Pheonix, I've never seen it spelled that way! (Is it still pronounced the same as the bird?) You have a beautiful family. I'm sorry you had to lose both your shelties so closely together. Thank you for posting the pictures!

I'm so glad you quit lurking and posted pictures of your fur kids. They are beautiful. I have a pit/lab mix, we just got a new pit bull puppy on July 3rd. Arent pits so much fun? They have so much personality.

I'm really sorry about your other dogs, that had to be tough on you. Please post more pictures soon.:)

Thanks for all the replies :)

finn's mom - OK, so its a kind of funny story about the spelling of his name... I swore that it was spelled Phoenix... and the S.O. (Who is a spelling master) said, nope, its Pheonix... So, yeah  It's spelled however YOU want to spell it :) Its pronounced like the capital of Arizona. And he was named for the mythological bird, The Pheonix, because as a puppy he and his brothers/sisters had a bad case of mange, and were all infested with worms... Just very lucky dogs to be alive :)

Pheonix is a very handsome fellow! I'm sure he has helped your heart to heal. I can't imagine loosing two so close together. How fortunate this little guy came along and needed a home!
p.s. India is gorgeous!

Ha, so, did you ever call the spelling master out on that one, since you were correct? ;) That's a funny story! Beautiful dogs! Sorry I'm so late with replying, I just remembered that I had asked you about the pronunciation! I love the story of the Phoenix, very lucky puppies, indeed!
