Animal lovers ~ I came across this great website that is raising money for pets in need. It is www.wrappedinkindness.com/contact.htm
Their volunteers are making scarves and flip-flops and donating the proceeds to iMom http://www.imom.org/
IMOM's moto is "Companion animals should not have to die or suffer in pain, simply because their caretakers are financially challenged"
They are currently raising funds to help Pepper. Pepper is an 11 year-old Lab mix with liver disease. You can see pictures of Pepper and keep up on her progress by going to iMom's message board at: http://p088.ezboard.com/fimomcommunityfrm23.showMessage?topicID=181.topic
Check out the flip-flops, they are CUTE CUTE CUTE! Not something I'd have much use for here in Alaska. The scarves are probably more what I need. :p
Keep iMom in mind if you ever need financial help with your own pets. They have pretty strict guidelines so read through it all to make sure you qualify.
And if you can afford to donate, please consider it. There are many animals there in need. I started donating in Kuhio's name after she passed away in 2002. I couldn't save her, but it helps to know that other babies out there now have a chance at a happier life.
