Subject: [dogparkinlafayette] Help...We Lost our dog in Michigan!

Help! On a family trip this weekend, our red shiba female Kaasama pulled a
leash out of hand and is running free in a wooded area near Coloma,
Michigan. We can't find her anywhere. She is still dragging a black handled
flexi leash and has tags on. She got loose about 9pm (MI time) on July 3rd.

You can see Kaasama's pictures at http://www.geocities.com/savingshibas.
Please help if you see her! Call our cell phones at 765-409-4989 or
765-418-3223.

Any assistance is much appreciated!!!

I'll forward this on to people I know.

I'm no where near the area, but I'll keep an eye out.

Are they planning to go back and look for her or have they asked others in the area too? If she's dragging a retractable leash, it's quite likely she could get it caught on something in the woods.

She may be stuck and if no one actively looks for her, I fear the worst.

I hope she's found.

I don't know any more than I've copied and pasted, but I'm sure somebody is actively searching the area. I too was worried about the dog getting caught up on that leash. :( For some reason (maybe good) the link to what the dog looks like isn't working, and I double checked to be sure it was posted correctly. Thanks for passing it around, and should I hear any news, I'll post it. ;)

Here's the email I received from them tonight.

My Kaasama the naughty red shiba girl has been found! She was in some very deep woods, and her flexi was stuck on a tree.my dad was able to find her! He said she looks good considering!
