How sweet! I'm anxious to see how ours are going to react with a baby in the house.

Oh, Boomer, how could we ever forget a guy as handsome as you? You certainly are a good boy! It's easy to see from the pictures how attentive you are. I know you don't like it when he touches you, he's just trying to get to know you and say thank you for watching out for me. Lots and lots of lovebug to you from me for being such a good boy.....

Oh Boomer! You are a good boy!!:) I love how well behaved you are with baby Tyler - watching over him but never getting too close.

Boomer's previous owners gave Boomer away when they had a new baby but Boomer now has a chance to show what a good big brother he is:D

awwww....Missy, Tyler is looking so adorable - he changes every time I see him!!:) :) He is a beautiful baby!!

Missy isn't rehoming Boomer because of baby Tyler .... her husband is being deployed to serve in the desert for our freedom. Missy is moving back to the states with Tyler to stay with her parents until her hubby returns from the War. Missy is heartbroken over this, she has even taken great lengths to look into having Boomer flown to the states, but it would take over $1,000.00 if even possible. :(

Maybe checking out foster families would save a lot of heartbreak. If a home is only needed for 4 months as Missy
said before. Try this group. They do great work.

That sounds like it might be an option .. I hope Missy sees this thread!

I see that. It would be ok if we lived in the states, but we don't. Also I do not want to foster him because of his temperament. Why turn his world upside down when we leave and then again once we get back when we can just find him a good home and part ways. He's not an easy going cat. He gets stressed VERY easily and fostering him wouldn't be at all good for him. I love my kitty by and am trying to find an option that is least likely to give him a nervous breakdown.

I didn't read the site ..... and I forgot that you had said you didn't think he would do well in a fostering situation. Missy, I would just keep doing what you have already been doing ... only YOU know what is best for your baby!;)

Boomer, you are such a gorgeous big brother to Tyler.

Missy - I can't even imagine how you feel about having to rehome Boomer :( I am sure you will do whatever you feel is best for him.

Missy,

While I don't see that fostering him out would be any less
traumatizing than a new home, it is after all your decision. I do
wish Boomer the best.

Boomer's such a pretty tabby - he almost looks like a bengal! My bengal seems to be very good with babies too. He's very patient, sweet, and non-confrontational with them when they come to visit in our apartment. It's sad when people don't even give their fur babies a chance to prove their true good nature when their human babies arrive into this world, or at least work around the issues in other ways.

Of course I haven't read the story about Boomer so I don't know what he did (if anything) to his previous owner's baby, so maybe I'm talking out of ignorance too :) But with a face like that and pictures like that - who would believe anything bad about a cutiepie like that ;)

We don't know what Boomer did to the previous owner or her baby- but he has been wonderful with Tyler:) They don't even have to close the nursery door anymore!

I have been to Japan twice and sortof "know" Boomer and he is as sweet as they come - but VERY skittish. I have never met a more timid kitty before. Missy says that I am probably the only person he has come out of hiding for and we played quite a bot when I was there.

For someone patient - he will make a wonderful pet. Missy had hoped to send him to me rather than a stranger...but let's all keep hoping and praying for a loving home for this sweetheart.
