As some of you may know, I recently achieved the status of pillar (thank you, thank you...I"ll take a bow now) and in celebration of that I am posting some pics for your viewing pleasure. These are some pics of about a week ago after the girls got a bath.

Both of them being silly running down the hall. Notice Maggie the flying dog and some of her moves around the corner. She is super speedy. Sadie is not as fast but she can still move.

Sleepy Sadie, she's under our bed. She gets under there to dry off.

Maggie, a close-up. She finally let me get one of her without her licking the camera. And I was able to brush her hair out of her face. Ain't she cute.. :D

This is our resident feline at work, Lovey. He's neutered, has his tags and is overall pretty laid back. He comes and visits us at night and to get some food. :D He stays in the office with us until he is ready to go out patrolling the area. I think he's pretty old, he doesn't have too many teeth left. Yes, he is giving me the "evil eye".

Ok cuteness warning on these pics. I told you so beware. We have this little possum hanging around work. He's kinda small so I don't know if he's a baby or just skinny. Anways, he's a boy. I saw his "stuff", LOL. He's really slow getting away, doesn't run real fast but can climb trees pretty quickly. He's friendly as in he let me take some pics of him pretty close up. I was only a few feet away from him a few times. Ok here he is. The first one is of him in the tree earlier in the morning. Sorry you can't really see him.

On the deck eating Lovey's cat food. I don't want anyone to go..Oh you shouldn't feed him, I know we shouldn't but I love critters and if he's hungry he can come and have some food. We have raccoons too sometimes that come and visit. Ok here he is.

Ok more in next post.

I took the girls for a car ride on Sunday. I went slow around the area so Maggie could stick her head out. She loves to stick her head out. Sadie on the other hand is content to sit on my lap and play driver (as shown in the pic coming up). She only stuck her head out when I was nearly stopped. I can't roll the window down all the way, Maggie will jump out. :(

Here's Sadie "driving" the car.

Both of them out the window.

Sadie all by herself. :)

These are Sandhill Cranes if someone didn't know. They are all over the place here. They remain couples for life, how sweet. You will almost always see them in pairs, unless they have a baby with them. They are really beautiful. Maggie was barking and barking at them from the car. She's fearless, she's not scared of anything. (I haven't come across anything yet)

Wonderful pictures!! The possum is so cute. My sister has alot of raccoons at her place in Flagler Beach. They almost take over. We have many of those big birds around here too but I didn't know the name. Sometimes they look as if they're homeless. I see them real close to the road in some places. I worry that they'll get hit by a car. Where are you located in Florida? PM me if you'd rather not publish it. Thanks for sharing!!:D

Wonderful pictures and congratulations on your pillar-hood! :) I'm glad to have you join PT, you've been a wonderful part of it so far and I hope that continues for years to come. :)

I love those two girls of your's. They are so sweet.
I have to admit, I'm afraid of possums. Although the one you posted pictures of is cute, anytime I see them around here i'm terrified. :p

He just started coming. He has been though 2 nights in a row. They can be mean, yes. And they do carry rabies. This is the only one I have come across so close and that didn't run away quickly. If he showed me any signs of agression I would not have gotten so close. As it was he never hissed at me or even looked mad in anyway. He has some super sharp claws and teeth so I know he put a hurting on me if he wanted too. I believe they are in Colorado but probably not as much as here in FL.

I believe they can be called Possum's as well. The correct term is Opposum but Possum is just as acceptable. I live in FL and here we call them Possum's. :) Yes I know all about rabies. I wasn't trying to kiss him. :D

Your girls are really cute! Love the action shots! And that widdle possum - so cute! must be a young one, cause they aren't near that cute all grown up. (we have several living on our property) How tall do those cranes get to be? They look really tall in the pictures.

I'm not real sure how tall they get. I'd say most of the ones I see that are adults are probably 3 1/2 to 4 ft tall. They are quite large. They have a patch of red fur on top of their heads. They can be quite annoying too as they think they own the road and people's yards. LOL. They sometimes stand just off the side of the road. And Vette as far as the possom goes as being someone's pet, I'm not too sure about that. I think he's just a young possum and maybe he doesn't know to run away. All he wanted to do was eat and eat.
