Two hundred twenty nine years ago a bunch of guys got together, scratched out those instructions as simple as there are..

And we are still in awe of then today.

Do you think anyone of them went home that night and said to themselves,

"Damn, That was pretty good writing.....I wonder how they'll last ......."

I can't even think about leaving something behind that would still be used, argued about, revered, scroned, respected and true for a few weeks let along a couple of centuries.....

I think we got something special here....;)

richard, i agree we got the most special thing ever. i cannot think of any time in which so much intellectual and political talent was ever assembled in one small place in the history of this planet. just amazing what humans of good will can accomplish through talk and compromise. i've wondered about jefferson that night, after the signing, did he walk the streets of philadelphia with mr franklin and mr adams?

LOLOLOLOL,

After his night out with Frankin and Adams.....

Jefferson opens the door to his bedroom, waking up his wife....

Mrs. J:
Honey, where were you? You are awfully late.

TJ:
Aww, I was out with the boys, writing.

Mr's J:
Anything special??

TJ:
I dunno, We'll have to see.........
