Oh my gosh, he looks like he's got poo all over him. Poor little sweet guy. ;) I'm sure he's treated well, though, and, he is probably a sweetheart.

Oh my gosh. That's actually kind of creepy. Sam reminds me of the Krypt Keeper. :o Hopefully he gets lots of love and snacks for being so "ugly"... And hopefully he doesn't understand what the award means. :p

He may be physically unattractive, but from reading the story, we know he is a loved, spoiled dog, and so he is precious in his own right! He is very old, so I am sure that has a lot to do with the "age-spots" and warts and the yellowing of his teeth.

I don't think he's ugly at all. As Karen pointed out, he's old. Poor little thing. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a big kiss right on his little lips.

One local news station showed film of this dog last night. The
dog didn't look nearly as bad as that picture. He was moving
around & looking at the camera.:D They did say that he was
very old & very spoiled at home.:)
