I had to share my picture of my plant.
I forgot the name of it. I think it is a Plumeria but
for the life of me I can not remember.

I have 2 plants that I brought back from
Hawaii, and so far this is the first plant to bloom
in over 3 years.

That absolutely is a plumeria. Congratulations - I have some friends who tried for years to get them to bloom and they wouldn't.

Yours are lovely and look so healthy.

What a beautiful plant! I am so happy it is blooming for you. I think it might be a good idea to take another trip to Hawaii to get some more now that you know you have a green thumb. ;) I have heard of plumeria but only as the name of a fragrance at Bath and Body Works. :o

I have allergies, but I could smell a nice scent.
I do not have a green thumb at all, but I
was told that you must use a phosphate food
on the Plumerias to bloom.
My other plant is not doing as well this year.
Sometype of bug must be attacking it?

It's very beautiful.:) I was going to ask if it had a fragrance,
but I understand now, it does.:) Does this get bigger, like a
bush or stay as a single plant? I'll have to check out the scent.:D

From what I have seen in Hawaii, they can grow as tall
as a small tree. They were only the size of a 9-10" stick
when I bought them in a package.
I grew mine in pots.
It will probably take years but I can't wait till they get to a bush size. One of the side shoots fell off.
So I just stuck it in another pot to grow.

Thanks for the info. It would make a beautiful addition to my
yard, if only it would survive the harsh Indiana winters.:)
