What part of Iowa? I'm in the NW corner on the Iowa/South Dakota border....
I know of one other Iowan for sure, a friend of mine from another dog group joined here a couple days ago...she's from Davenport.:)

Yeah, sometimes they fly right over our house. My dogs hate them. Bark constantly until they get right over the house and then they want to hide inside. :D Brave dogs. :D

A couple of years ago we had a couple of ballooners take off from our yard. I was surprised how little time it takes from the balloon pull out to take-off.
