I am not an Australian, a kiwi ,but there is Trev oggyflute, Captain and a few others here who can help you out for sure,it would help to know what part of OZ you are in? I am sure they will see this post and reply soon.

I am a little confused by your post, there are plenty of cats, kittens available at your nearby shelters, SPCA etc? try looking there or placing an advert in the newspaper.
