Ok so I got this $24 digital camera set from walmart. Its not much but it takes pictures. Now don't yell about the quality, I forgot to turn on the flash. More pics soon.
The babies were all in the corner where the heat is on the shelf.

Mom in a travel cage until I get a new cage set up. She does fine with the babies but they hide under her when I get the camera.

They will all be named and I can already tell most apart by markings. I will be selling some to people I know and keeping some. I could mail some to pters who want one but not until they are bigger. What do I get from keeping cockroaches? A conversation starter, a pet that is ok in my dorm room, and little buggies crawling all over me while I try to write. I think they all have different personalities and are just like any other small pet.

It's great that there's people who love these and care for them, and i'm glad they give you some sense of happiness.

Good luck with them.

They don't bite, I don't think they are able. They don't fly, no wings. They eat carrots an crushed cat food. My adults cost me $15 each and if I do sell any babies I'll probably do $5 a piece because 15 is for crazy roachie lovers who are willing to pay that much, there aren't many of us. They do climb and run, except for Reqiem who as a broken foot. If they are hand raised they are less likely to make hissing noises or to run from people.

Neat pics.
Are all the babies under mom in that one pic? I can't believe they can all fit there. lol

*heeebeee geebeez*

Where's the Raid?!? Just kidding. They're cool to look at, but I have such a roach phobia from these Texas sized tree roaches that fly around, I couldn't picture myself touching a hissing one. I'm sure you're very proud. So does this make you a grandparent now? ;)

Ok I guess I'm Grandma Roach lol. Should I start a rap group?! No they weren't all under Requiem in that picture, they were already in the new setup. They do fit though. It adorable how well the mother protects the nymphs and is careful not to step on them. You wouldn't think that a bug could be protective.
