Look what dad and I made today..*6 pics*

I've had this idea for quite a while..
Today my dad and I finally did it. We plan on hanging these on the fence, probably with the large one at top, then chain the Simba, Nala, & Kiara to the bottom.

I painted them and did the final touches. (I found some pretty paints that I had bought a while back)

All three finished. I still need to go and buy some clear coat to put on them so they don't ruin. Then we're going to hang them.

BTW, if anyone's interested in one my dad said we could figure out a cost that would work for us and you. I told him that these would probably sell well if we wanted to, as the pet business is booming.

Those look really cute! You know, I'm becoming more and more fascinated in hand-made things. They have a history and have meaning, either to yourself or to those that receive them. This spring, David made me a wooden cedar planter for the deck and I just love that thing so much. I'm looking to get more ideas of simple, (somewhat inexpensive :o) things to make for Christmas/birthday gifts. I've been given a few hand made gifts and always really treasure them.

Anyway! Didn't mean to go off on such a tangent! I think they turned out very nicely. You and your Dad should think about setting up a booth at one of those craft festivals if you have those down there (they are very popular up here!).

Hehe, We just drew straight lines and then traces spray paint cans for the nubs. :)

Those are SO cute! They'll look awesome in the yard... are they going to be outside or inside of the fence?

I want one that says Gonzo's Yard!! Right now, we have on of those generic red/white signs on the gate that says "Yard Patrolled by Border Collie" with a picture of a BC... yours are so much more authentic-looking and cute :)

Your Dad is really talented. They sell something like those at our local six flags and they charge a lot. I was just there last Saturday I could have got the exact price for you. I am thinking they charge around $40.00 for one sign.

Those are great! I'm sure you'd be able to sell tons of them. My husband is planning to make a couple signs for our yard--one with my kennel name on it "Wandering Spirits" and one for the big dog pen which is called "Hoodoo's Haven". It's on his list of stuff to do, but who knows when he'll get to it!:rolleyes:
