This is all still so new and wonderful to me. :) I guess when I was living with David, I didn't fully feel free. I'm just seeing that now. :(

But...now that I am, I LOVE it!! I spent the day with my cats and myself and its the BEST day I've had in a long, long time.

I woke up at 10:30...made myself breakfast (waffles and fruit). I took my pills and did a few things around the apartment.

I went online until I was hungry and then made myself a tuna melt. It was so good!

I took a bunch of pictures of the cats, made some peanut butter cookies, organized all the pictures in my computer...and chatted some more online.

I just finished dinner, chicken with soy sauce, garlic and some rice. :)

Its just so nice doing what I want to do, eating what I want to want...yay!

Sorry, this is probably so lame and pointless to everyone else. But I just had to share. :) Its been such a nice day.

Hi, welcome to the wonderful world of living alone! I've been on my own for about five years since dad passed away. Because my brothers and sisters have their own homes (and married), I live in the family home and maintain it. It's nice to come and go as you please. I always like to say that I'm a bachelor living with two girls! (Nikki & Daisy!)

This may help you manage your Crohn's better, since stress and autoimmune diseases are a nasty combination!

things you CAN'T do when you live with someone...

Walk the house naked
wash dishes when YOU want to.
Never have to listen to dinner complaints.
Pass gas in bed and offend only yourself.
leave the empties on the coffee table.
leave the door of the bathroom open.
Wash clothes when YOU need them.
Scratch yourself when you itch.
 ;) :D

Oh Richard I think I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one;)
The only thing I can't do after 18 years of marriage is
Pass gas in bed and offend only yourself:p

Guess I have a pretty good husband:D

Anna- same one here. The gas would be the problem but nothing else.

Nut- Kelly- I can live alone and I loved it. Now I love my other live but when I am alone for a weekend or so I can go back to something I really missed.:)

Good for you Kelly! Isn't it the best? People always ask me if I'm lonely..Heck no! Calvin and Hobbes are the best company possible! My best days are when I stay home with the boys, reading or doing whatever the heck I want! No fighting for the remote :D :D Only thing is Hobbes has a tendency to sleep smack dab in the middle of my Cal King bed so I guess I do make a FEW compromises!
Welcome to the single world!

I'm so happy to read this. I agree, you totally deserve it...and I'm really hoping that this will help with your Crohn's. It's so nice that you can do whatever you want whenever you want and not have to worry about anyone but yourself and your furries! :D

Now you know why I never remarried!!! I tell people "NOBODY takes care of ME, better than ME DO!!!!!"

I have NEVER;

Woke myself up to ask me if I was going to sleep all day!

Never had to keep my dinner warm in the oven till I got home!

Never had to ask myself where I have been or why I was so late (and by the way, what's for dinner?)

Never got out of bed to come ask myself if I was going to watch TV all night...

Scratched myself with sharp tonails in my sleep

Told me to get myself something to drink while I was in the kitchen....

Flexed my muscles in front of the bathroom mirrow while I sucked in my beer belly! LOL!

NEVER have I asked myself "do you love those cats more than you love me?"

Yelled from the shower "DO WE HAVE ANY CLEAN TOWELS??????"
(I can remember where they are kept from one night till the next!)

Yes, and your stress level with remain low, therefore your Crohnes disease will not be as bad or flare up as often.

Richard and Laura's Babies, thank you for the laughs this morning. It's fun to see things from both a male and female perspective! LOL!

Kelly, I am in favor of whatever lowers your stress level! :)
