These are photos I've scanned tonight, of cats that I had as a child. Pepper was a great cat, and, I miss her to this day. I don't remember ever not having her! ;) When my parents split, Pepper stayed out with my dad and brothers, and, we were poor country folk that didn't know any better. Pepper was never spayed and had many litters. I'm including a couple of pictures of one of the litters. When my father died, and, my brothers moved in with my mom, step dad, and, I, Pepper was given to my dad's girlfriend's family. They took her from everything she knew and put her outside of their home (she was mostly an outdoor cat anyway) miles away. Needless to say, she ran away. :( I was devastated, because she was our family cat, and, we all missed her. She was a very pretty, street savvy calico. :)

That's me, I always would lay in the closet with the kittens.

This crazy cat, I hardly remember him. Here's what I do remember. We thought he was a girl when we first got him, so, we dubbed him bootsie. Well, when we found out that he was a boy, we changed it to Boots. I didn't have him for very long, he was not the tamest of kitties, and, I was not at an age where I'd developed really strong opinions about how to raise pets. Boots was not that nice, I remember that. We ended up finding a home for him, with a bunch of other cats out in the country. He was not a good inside cat at all. But, I did love him! He was really cute. Anyway, here is Boots.

Thanks for checking out my Pepper and Boots. :) I hate that I don't have more of pepper, she was the cat I remember growing up with. But, I'm glad to have what I have!

Am glad you found a home for Boots; any cat that isn't used to being inside is never happy being confined.

I know that from experience.

Isn't it fun looking at those old photos???
