We have a jacaranda tree in our yard. They guy who did our lawn project suggested taking it down as it is a "messy" tree. I wrapped my arms around it and refused to let it go.

I am not sorry but I do understand "messy" now. We sweep at least once a day.

When you sit at the table it sounds like rain hitting the umbrella... but what a gorgeous color rain!

Oh it is gorgeous. I would't mind sweeping everyday with that in my yard. It even makes the ground gorgeous.

Beautiful! I say put a big planter/bowl there and collect it for potpouri.

I like the potpourri idea! And I like all these leaves around the chair- looks very romantic. Thanks for tree-hugging;)

Are the flowers fragrant? :) It's beautiful and I wouldn't mind the mess either.

How pretty! Leave it to the secretary of the PT fashion queen to coordinate her patio furniture with the falling tree flowers. :D

As for sweeping....there's a much better way, it's called a leaf blower. Home Depot and such type places have electric hand held ones that would work wonders and might be a lot quicker too.

Guess we'll have to have lids on our cocktails and/or wine glasses....:D

I see the problem with the wine etc. :D - but it IS very pretty! For long does it blossom? Does it smell nice? I like the potpouri idea too. :)

Wish I had trees like that outside my window!

I must admit that when I looked through your album, I saw the jacaranda, and thought - "WOW - I love you even more for keeping such a messy tree". :D

They are beautiful, but messy ............ at least you didn't chop it down ....:D

The blossom is absolutely gorgeous and it really does look lovely on the ground. It softens the newness a bit. Pot pouri could be the answer. :D
