Wow, open already? Cool.

I know little to nothing about poker, but Mario, deal me in! :D Oops, forgot, the one thing I do know is you need to keep a strai....eeerrr...poker face so you don't give yourself away.

I also don't like martinis, so for now I'll stick with the coke thing. As usual, got a lot of work to do today....

Later on, when happy hour officially starts here (...say....noonish?) I'll have to have everyone raise there glass in a toast to the sale of my Corvette. However, don't give me too many drinks or I'll start blubbering like a fool over the fact that I'm selling it.....

I like poker and I love martinis! I'll have an appletini, please. Is anyone welcome to the doghouse Thursday party, because I don't think I've done this too often. :)

Yes, everyone is welcome, but you need to show ID before you get served. ;)

The one other requirement for newbies is that tell one good joke. After that you are a full-fledged Thursday attendee. ;) :D

Ok, here's a blonde joke my step brothers told me.

a blonde cop pulls another blonde over for speeding.

she asks the speeder for her license and registration.

the speeder goes through her bag, but, says she can't find her license.

the cop says well anything with your picture on it, then.

so, the speeder pulls out her compact, opens it, and, hands it to the cop.

will this do, asks the speeder.

the cop looks into the compact, and, exclaims, well, damn, you should have told me you were a cop, too! move along! :)

oh, and, i'm almost 29, hope that's old enough! ;)

Oh Willie, you don't know how much it warms my heart to see you back here at Thursdays! You are very much loved and we missed you bunches.

Finn, welcome to the bar. I take it that you've been shown the ropes? No, that the rope that Mario climbs....I mean the whole "leave your attitude at the door" thing.:D Love that joke....you pass with flying colours!!

Good morning Debbie, my friend. Are you packed yet??;) :D

Gini.....love as always.

Donna.... Careful, if you lose this last hand, Mario will run off with your **ahem** undies....and that's no way to "bare" your soul!!!:D :D

Richard, thanks for opening the bar so early. I've got meetings today so will check back when I can. Be good.

WOW! Strip Texas Holdem! That's a new one to me! I believe I'll just pass for now. Mario tends to cheat. Me in my undies (or worse), is something the world does not need to see!

It's awfully hot and humid here so I'll just grab a cherry limeade and 4 catnip teas on ice. I think I'll fix a taco salad for lunch too.
YUM!:D

Hows about a nice tall cool slushie to cool you down, Donna? And while I'm at it, don't mind if I help myself! DONE! :D

Willie - how wonderful to see you here again! Mario seems to be on his best behavior now that mom is back. Mario, no marking the cards with cherry juice now!

Seems to be a certain smart alecky person missing today. Won't mention any names, but I think her name starts with Laurie? ;)

I've never been handed this much money before in my life! Of course I paid for the car in drips and dribbles (car payments) and besides, that was money going out, not coming in! Just sneaking back in for a refill on the iced cat nip teas and cherry limeade. It's so hot and humid here, my fingers almost stick to the key board.

Sad comment on my life: the most exciting thing about it is watching tornados form on the local radar. There was one near Oskaloosa earlier this evening. It was white but what was really odd, was there was a full rainbow behind it. Luckily, it was over empty land. It was pretty in an odd sort of way!

I think I need a life: BAD!!!!:D

G'day all. :)

I'm not a very good card player so I might just watch Mario slide cards up his sleeve, though with the day I'm having I think a martini would be just great.:) In fact a pitcher would do nicely. Made with Bombay gin and french vermouth of course. Mario can have the olives, actually better share them with Possum Mario, don't want to upset the girlfriend do we.;)

I'll go for slicks butt screamer nacho's too. (Now that would make a good recipie header:D )

Good to see you in the bar Kari, and good to see you back willie. I see also our sex-a-pillar has been downing a few too.:D

I just heard of an Incredible Hulk. Anyone know how to make it and if so, poor me up one.

But first, tell me what a slider is.

Tubby & Peanut's Mom
06-09-2005, 03:01 PM
A slider is a White Castle hamburger. They are tiny little things and they cook them with onions and a lot of water so it's more like they are steamed in onions. They're are about a 2" square patty with 4 holes in it and even with the bun, you can usually finish one off in one or two bites. You can usually get about 30 of them for 10 bucks - but don't dare ask for cheese because a sliver of a cheese slice costs $.20 each so that makes your $10.00 sack now worth $16.00!

They're not all that bad, but I wouldn't call them good either. I think they call them sliders because they're so small they just slide right down....and out. ;) I've also heard them referred to as gut bombs. Terry gets a taste for them about once every two years or so. We have about 2 each and that's enough to hold us over for another two years. ;)

Can't help you on the Incredible Hulk, but somehow I'm thinking it's green?

Speaking of green....how's about a pitcher of green slushies today? Anyone want to share a pitcher with me? If the weather holds out my Corvette will be delivered tonight. :(

Me me me! I'll join you in a slushie, Debbie! Bring it on. We have had the most wonderful sunny day and it would go down well just now.

My father in law always calls an ice cream wafer, a slider. Do you know what I mean by a wafer? Two rectangular wafers, about 2 inches by 5 inches, with two scoops of ice cream between them. You eat it by squeezing the wafers together and licking the ice cream that has oozed out the side until eventually the two wafers are so close together that you just munch the rest.

Jennifert, glad to hear you are feeling better - finally! But you had fun - even if you don't remember.

Why yes, Thursdays opens on Wednesdays because in Australia it is already Thursday. This way we get an extra day lead and then when it is Friday in Australia it is only Thursday here.

That was the best excuse we could think of........and it works!

Now on to really serious matters............what shall I have to drink?

It has been a far too sober day!

(entirely too much adding and subtracting for me....) :)

PitChick, how is an Incredible Hulk GREEN? I'm baffled. Hennessey is not green (although the bottle is... 6 years of bartending and this is what I know? ;)) and Hypnotic is blue? Right? How does that make a green drink...? Don't answer that, just pour!! :D

I'm thinking the Hennesey must be yellow. Add that to blue hypnotic and walla - you get green! :D What in the world is hypnotic though? I feel that's what I am these days, but I didn't know they made alcohol like that.

I've got the recycle bin ready for all those beer bottles, Slick. Mario, sweety, after you tuck that ace back into your diaper can you push the bin over this way so I can get all these bottles in the corner behind the table? Thanks, I owe you a few cherries. :D

Hpnotiq® liqueur
Hpnotiq (yes, that is indeed without a y) is a tropical-fruit liqueur. It's made from a blend of premium french vodka, pure cognac and natural tropical fruit juices.

Debbie, I Googled this information. I had never heard of it before. Sounds deadly doesn't it?

Mr. Olivers in Princeton, TX.

This (http://www.mrolivers.com/website_slot_10_1desc.htm) is the motorhome we're looking at. If you click on any of the pictures it will take you to more and bigger pics. It's sooo beautiful, but if you notice it has no passenger seat! Soooo...we need to check it out thoroughly before we buy because it will be quite expensive to redo it to add the passenger seat.

We'll only be there overnight. Flying in Saturday AM, flying out Sunday AM.

Thanks for the recycling bin. I'll just take all these bottles out back and take them in on my next trip.

So, anyone up for a game of poker?? Five card stud, penny anty, deuces wild. Mario, let's check that diaper first...no cheating at this table.

The jacuzzi and pool are in the trailer - no pics of that though. ;) I think we should do a Thursday's road trip no matter which motorhome we have! Here's a link (http://www.datslife.net/motorhome.html) to some pics of our current one which is just as nice in my eyes - I love our motorhome and don't really understand why Terry must have a bigger one. It's Ok Richard, I'm not a proud man.:D

Awk!!! My computer monitor died this morning! Luckily I had an old monitor from a former computer. It's a 14 inch screen though. So hard to get used to again. AT LEAST I CAN STILL GET TO THE BAR! AND PET TALK!!!
Got to keep the priorites straight after all.

Can I get a pitcher of red slushies to go? and a pitcher of catnip tea? The kids were such a BIG help when I had to switch monitors. ;)

Here's the joke....

You go into a bar and order a pitcher of beer......Then ask for a left handed pitcher.........

If they are a baseball fan , they'll understand....

One pitcher of red slushies, One pitcher of CNT and a few hugs for the kids........DONE!

Don't feel bad, I took some negatives be put on a Photo CD and they don't work.......30 dollars they charged!!

I'll take one of those left handed pitchers! ...eeerrr....I mean one filled with red slushies. ...eerr....well....you know what I mean!

I'm going to need more than one slushie - they accepted our offer!  Now all we have to do is find some money somewhere! Peanut offered to give up one treat a week, so if Jack does the same we could save maybe....ooohhh....$5.00 a year? Hmmm....think we're going to have to find a bit more than that. :o <insert scared smiley here> :D

Oggy, you had a mini what? :o ;)

If all the financing goes as planned, we will bring it home in about two weeks. :D  :D

Then we must have a Thursday road trip! :D
