Hi, everyone! Here's something I'd like to pass along to those of you thinking about traveling for your vacation this summer, or anytime really. AAA has a book called "Traveling With Your Pet". It lists pet friendly lodging in every state plus parts of Canada. It also includes a list of public lands where pets are welcome. The best feature of all is the book includes a listing of emergency veterinary clinics with addresses and phone numbers across the country. There are many useful tips on how to make your vacation trip an enjoyable experience for you and your fuzzybuddy. If you're interested in this valuable book, contact your local AAA office or log on to www.aaa.com
Whether you're on the road with your pet or decide to stay home, here's a phone number you'll probably want to keep handy. The American Animal Hospital Association provides a veterinary locator service. Their phone number is (800)883-6301,or you can contact them on line at www.healthypet.com
You can also contact the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society at (210)698-5575 or on line at http://veccs.org
