Calling all Orangy lovers! Introducing...MILO!

I worked a 14 hour shift today and am very tired so please forgive any bad use of spelling/gramatical mistakes. I feel like my feet are going to fall off of my body any second.

Anywho, as some of you know I work at Banfield Pet Hospital here in Eugene. Today a couple and their son brought in a kitten. They claimed they found him by the river near the Rose Gardens crying. I am not certain if I believe the story. Being so close to the river, with lots of mud and I am sure lots of fleas, he looks to be too healthy to have been "found" He has absolutely NO fleas, is already trained to use the litterbox, has a nice appetite, clean ears etc. Not to mention he is very well adjusted.

The couple said they were going to take him to Greenhill Humane Society but they did not take kittens over 8 weeks old, and they wanted to know his age. Well....Greenhill does not take stray kittens or cats unless they are found in the city of Veneta, and their little boy was clearly upset that his parents were giving his kitty away. :( Poor boy, I just wanted to give him a hug. He looked so sad. I hope he was found, and that these people didn't just give their child's pet away. I don't know who could leave a precious kitten down by the river. :(

Well needless to say I took him home. I didn't want him going to the pound and I've been looking for another kitten for a couple of years now, but wanted something that jumped at me, and wanted my next kitten to be a rescue, as Ewok was. He is absolutely adorable!!! We couldn't test him for FELV/FIV yet as he is only 5 weeks old. In three weeks I will take him back to work to get tested and start his vaccines. He was dewormed today and the vets think he looks great! I can't believe how healthy he looks. I have since dubbed him "Milo". He is an absolute doll! :D He is very cuddly which I love. He's not 100% into toys yet, but is learning how to chase the feather chaser. Right now he is lounging on my bed getting used to his new surroundings. He's already peed in the litter box. What a good boy!

He has really odd ears. The tips of his ears are folded. The vet thinks he may have Scottish Fold in him. His ears just make me laugh. Look at his silly they are. :D

He was eating out of his new bowl I bought him. He's a very good eater, and I imagine he'll be all grown up in no time at all.

Oh so sweet! I love him! Those ears are SO precious and it looks like he has big paws already. I suspect he's going to be a wonderful big boy .... of course because he's ORANGE he's absolutely PERFECT! I'm not prejudiced at all, no, nu-uh, nope, not at all ... :rolleyes: :D

He looks so innocent when he's asleep. He peed on our comforter this morning. So I guess we still need work in the potty training department. Any suggestions on how I can make it easier for him?

We have liftoff!!! He went potty in the litter box a few minutes ago. Number 1 and 2, which is great as now he scent will be in there. :D Little baby steps, aww.

Welcome, baby Milo! He is so sweet that I had to check my blood sugar after seeing those "I dare you to not fall in love with me" pictures. How do these kitty babies know which buttons of ours to push to make us fall in love so easily and so quickly? Milo just oozes sweet. I'm no expert about these things, but seeing how healthy he looks I have some doubt that he was abandoned. He's a lucky little guy to be in your loving care. Can't wait for more pictures!

Talk about cuteness overload :) ! He is absolutely precious and quite the little "ham"!

And thank heavens I am not the only one who takes a picture of a single body part (his foot) and can spend ten minutes admiring it and thinking it is sooooooooo adorable that I just "have" to share it with all my cat-buds! He does have adorable ears by the way :)
