He is a quarterhorse/ paint. He didnt get his spots though from the paint gene.

He is lopeing in the picture because we put his buddie in the other pasture. :o

k, I was a little unsure because I ride at a very english hunter jumper barn, the older guys do some roping but they only come at night when I am not around.

I went out to go riding today, and it was crappy weather in the first place, but I didnt mind. I lunged him (ran him in a circle at the end of a rope) so cool him down so he wouldnt be so hyper, as soon as I stopped to start riding him, it started POORING out :(

Viewing a picture of a beautiful, well balanced horse like your Austin can only make one's day better! :) Horses were my first love, and I have never lost my admiration of their beauty. - Besides, there aren't that many truly black horses around - not in Denmark, anyway. :)
