Please read all the links for the whole story.
Warning: IT IS DIFFICULT.

One of the posters on another board I frequent has a phone card set up to call the appropriate parties.

Dial: 1-800-506-9511
Press: 1
Card#: 443514653650

The person to call is:
Hillary Bagley DA Prosecuting Case
(916) 874-5817

If the card is out of minutes, contact:

http://www.geocities.com/ptinnocents/

and they will see that it is recharged.

The case keeps getting postponed and now the vet who performed the necropsy is saying there were no dog bites on Max, which, oddly, threatens the whole case (I don't know why, since the dogs were never on trial). This man has been free for two years, all the while continuing to walk his unleashed dogs while carrying his golf club, and all the while working as a probation officer for troubled youth.

Max needs justice, and the world needs to finally "get it" that the person who commits such a cold-blooded act against a living being would do the same to any living being. The next time could well be a human.

I was incredibly shocked and horrified to read the account and didn't think I could add anything constructive to the discussion. I am so sorry for the troubles Max's poor humans are facing and cannot believe someone is trying to intimidate them. The family will be in my prayers for some relief from their pain and burden.

The postponements are probably occurring because the DA does not have sufficient incontrovertible evidence to win the conviction. I hope somebody took lots of pictures before the necropsy to introduce and contradict some of the findings. I also hope the California law governing the action does not have a short statute of limitations.
