I have 4 gerbils [2 I accidently bred... oops... mom wasnt happy. lol] and the parents are about 2-3 years and the babies just past their first birthday. I was just wondering if anyone has an idea on how long they stay around. I keep the 'babies' together, but the other 2 seperate, since I dont want more babies, lol. They all are happy and they do get fat over the winter and trim in the summer. So they are healthy. Will they be around a couple more years?

I used to have SO many gerbils and hammies it was funny! lol! The average life span is around 2-3 years. I had one that lived to be 4-5 years, it depends on how there treated.
