I had an appt today and found out that my cervix hasn't changed a bit in the past week. With that knowledge we discussed our options and came to a decision.
Tyler's last day in the womb will be no later than Friday the 27th. I'll be 41 weeks at that point and all stops will be pulled out. I'll be going in on Thursday afternoon at 1pm (midnight Wednesday
Eastern time). At that time they will start cyctotec again and give it to me every four hours. Friday morning if no progess has been made they will turn on the Pitocin. If Friday night arrives with still absolutely no change, Tyler will be born via c-section. I'm hopeful that it won't come to that, but the important thing is that we will have a healthy baby. I feel like I've been hit by a truck, everything aches all of the time, but I'm relieved that the end is in sight :)
I will have a baby in my arms this weekend:D We toyed with the notion of keeping this quiet, but since the doctor said that I will not be sent home at 41 weeks without a baby, I don't see the harm in spreading the word. The attending doc will be the one who is easily my favorite MD of the bunch, so I'm happy about that.
Who knows though, he did a very good membrane sweep today and now I feel crampy and yucky, so maybe I won't make it to Thursday :)

Sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts that Tyler will decide to make his appearance on his own before Thursday. Boys can be so stubborn sometimes. :D

Tell Tyler I know a couple really nice people who were born on the 26th ... and, actually, Tyler? One of the nicest people I ever knew was born on the 25th - and she died this year, a couple months before she could celebrate her 105th birthday. So that would be a good day to get this all over with, too!

I have done it both ways and can honestly say there are pros and cons to both. My first was a c-section and my second was regular, the c-section really wasn't that bad....it was pretty rough on hubby though because he kept looking.

I was vacuuming in a a little over a week after the c-section and I had a pretty hard time compared to most I had a 5 day hospital stay because of a temp.

Yep! Healthy is want counts! Tyler's all warm and cozy and doesn't want to come out and face reality! Who can blame him? Early congratulations on your little Gemini man! Hope you have an easy birth (no CS)! Will be thinking about you on Friday! Happy Birth-day, Tyler!

That's great news, Missy!!!

I'll be on the cruise while Tyler is born (if its on Saturday), but I'll be praying for the safest and least painful options.

Hugs,
Kelly :)

He should be born by 6 or 7pm JST Friday, which is 5 or 6am EST (EDT?) Friday. I guess that's 1 or 2 am Friday on the West Coast?? I've lived in Asia too long, I don't know the US time zones anymore:rolleyes: :D
