Well, maybe not Grecian
something closer to home,
in life with a feline
you are never alone.

There's the usual problems
Hair balls, litter box…
Trashing your knick knacks
or puke on your socks.

The soul of a cat
runs from good to bad.
One look in their eyes-
and you'll never be mad

A flip of the tail
and the swat of a bug!
and then without fail-
some biscuits on the rug.

To play with a cat
and leave caution alone-
you may see some blood,
or maybe some bone!

A cat on your lap
With some content purring,
Will relieve the most
Intense daily worrying…

Meow, I want this
Meow, I want that
Maybe I'll take the chair
where you sat…

It's a give and take affair
a cat in your place-
You will not go so long
Without a smile on your face.

Life with a cat
It's easy to see…
Some days can be tough,
Some days is a breeze!

To invest some love
Into your cat
you need to be warned.
You'll get double that back.

For the price of some food
and a long handled scoop,
the return is some love and
a box with some poop

So tonight take some time,
to scratch on your cat
and give them a place
that you warmed where you sat…

But be careful not to tell
that you were smitten,
by how cute
they when they started as a kitten!

A cat in your life
Is a wonderful companion!
And a wonderful reward
that can be granted in salmon!!!
