Yesterday I watched a mother squirrel teach her baby to cross the street. The baby was too big for her to carry so she had to coax it little by little. Each time they got of the curb a car would go by and the baby would run to the top of the neighbor's tree and the process had to start over. I tried to get some pictures but they stayed to far up the tree. Four hours later they made it across. I thought they were going to get hit but an oncoming car stopped for them :D . I guess his little squirrel will live to an old age being overly cautious. On another note... I had put out food in the squirrel feeder and found a rabbit eating it this morning! The feeder is on a platform two feet off the ground, I've never seen a rabbit on it. Oh well I guess I'll have to put something out for the bunny too.
