He's cute but are you sure he's purebred? I know there are blue dobes but they have to have tan/rust markings just like the other 3 colours....

She's purebred, not all dobies have tan/rust marks.

She's very pretty! I have never even heard of a blue dobie, I think they are all gorgeus though!

If you look closely you can see tan markings -- they are just very faded. That must be some sort of genetic thing. Pretty!

I've never seen a blue Dobie either. Sure is a beautiful dog. I wouldn't have known it was a blue Dobie unless I was told.

I don't believe that's the case... I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a "pure colour" doberman. The dog in the picture does have tan markings -- they are just quite light. However, even though there are tan markings, I don't believe the dog is purebred anyways. The facial structure doesn't look like that of a dobe, most dobermans' ears are not placed right on top of their head, and it's not common to find a blue dobe with such a thick coat.

As pretty as she is , they still should have those tan or rust markings.

She's beautiful! I've seen a blue dobie at the dog park before, but he had tan markings.

I think she is almost all dobe, see the very faint rust colored markings?

just wondering, has anyone looked at her link?

I do see the faint markings on her front paws.

A dobie that's one color is called a melanistic.

i can see really faint markings on her face but as far as I can tell there aren't any on her legs. Also, her body shape doesn't look all Dobe either IMO.

She is a very pretty girl! But does not look like a pure dobie to me either. I've seen a blue dobe before and he had tan markings.

like a melanistic leopard? That is when you can faintly see the markings but only at certain times, right?
Here is a melanistic Jaguar, see the spots?

JUDGING & DISCUSSING THE DPCA STANDARD

A solid colored Doberman with no markings is not subject to Disqualification, however it is seldom seen and one wonders if the dog is of pure breeding. No dog such as this should receive a ribbon for lack of merit.
