It is Nanooks turn at work with me today. Today he is just perfecting the laziness that old dogs do so well.
I'd take more pics but I can't, see my camera thread in the general section for my problem.
Anyway on with the pics:

I took a few pics of his eyes, trying to get a good shot but I guess he was too tired as he could barely open his eyes, this is the best one, it doesn't do any justice, he really does have amazing eyes

He is beautiful! I love his coloring. How old is he? He looks like such a sweetheart.:)

He'll be 15 in August.

And yes he is a sweetheart. He LOVES EVERYONE & EVERYTHING. I really don't think he has one mean bone is his body. He is TOO friendly. lol

What a beautiful dog. I would love to be there to pet that fluffy fur. He looks like a big love bug.

If it wasn't for the damn bird shots all over his body he'd be aging VERY well, but he gets lame, sometimes VERY lame.

I got him from the pound when he was about 8 months old. They found him tied to a telephone pole on the side of a dirt road, no houses for a mile.
Well a few years ago he starting getting lame, we took x-rays thinking it was going to be hip displysia but his hips are PERFECT, we found 22 bird shots in just his one back leg. We thought they were bb's at the time but just a couple years ago one appeared in his front leg, same side, it was just under like 1 layer of skin so I lanced it out. It was a bird shot.
One is lodged in his hock joint which is causing major arthritis. It's been in there so long nothing can be done about it, the bone grew around it.
That & he has a few tumors, some fatty but one is most likely cancer, it is on his right side, makes him look fat on that side. It is part way under his rib cage & the only way to operate on it is to break his rib cage & I don't want his last part of life struggling trying to heal a broken rib cage. So we are letting it be.

Otherwise he's in great spirits & does well. He is a puppy at heart thats for sure.

What a grand ol'man! He looks very content. Is he part husky? he looks like it. What a nice smile he has!

As best as we can guess he is husy/shep. You can fure sure see both of those breeds in him.

With the coloring he has maybe he has a bit of lab? But he was almost all white when he was younger, just a touch of tan on the tips of his ears & tail. As he ages he gets tanner.

Some people say they see samoyed in him.
