Our very own Pet Talk artist, Amy (Wolfq), did this cartoon drawing of Dixie and Dusty! I think it is absolutely perfect! :D She captured Dusty's happy, bouncy personality and Dixie's Princess grin 100%! I even love the little girl eyelashes she gave Dixie and the boy and girl bandanas!

I will be printing out an 8 X 10 and framing it along with making a T-shirt transfer to wear to our dog club meetings so everyone else can see this wonderful piece of artwork! Thanks again, Amy! You are so talented! :D BTW... she also did a oil painting of them both a couple years ago and it is hung proudly in our living room for all who enter to see!

I love it! Well done, Amy! I love the idea of the tshirt transfer.

Amy does such great work. Anna had her do a pencil and ink portrait of Katie for me and I am planning on having her do one of Tori for me also.

I might just have to have her do a cartoon one of the girls also ;). Your's is just soooo cute!

Great Job Amy! Vedy cute!

Hey Dixieland Dancer, if you go out to Cafepress.com, they'll let you create and buy your own t-shirts, by uploading digital graphics. It has to be the right dimensions, but if it is it'll look way better then a transfer.

Those are SO CUTE!

I'm jealous, I want one of Fizzy and Tristan!!

Does she do this as a business? or have a website? those are really adorable, and Yes, she DID capture their personality, which I find is a tough thing to do in art or photography of pets! What talent she has!

Very sweet! Nice job, Amy. The t-shirt idea is great--you'll have to post a picture of you wearing it so we can all admire it, too!

Do they use silkscreening techniques? What makes it better than a transfer?

Hi Dixieland Dancer!

They use a digital transfer printing process on clothing products. Here's a description from their website:

Digital transfers are printed on our high speed digital printing press. They are as durable as screen printing, but offer more detail. Digital transfers use heat to create a bond between the resin and the t-shirt locking the ink between the two layers. Digital transfers have a slight plastic feel when first worn, however, this feel will diminish after washing.

The t-shirts I've gotten from them have all looked incredible. Whenever I've done the iron transfers from home though, they haven't looked so good. The colors are always faded. The bright detail is lost, whereas I haven't had that experience with Cafepress.

Edited to add: The quality is based on having a high resolution graphic though. If you don't have the right dimensions then it's not going to look good.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I think Amy has a wonderful talent.

Candy that is just the best! I love those eyelashes on Dixie, she looks so girly:D

I have 2 cartoon drawings myself and also have a pencil of Angus which Val got for me (plus Amy did one for my mom and one for Robin-the one she was talking about).
I'd recommend her to anyone!
