Just thought I'd share these with you. I reall love making my own cards. I've gotten so many things for scrapbooking and cards now that I could probably open up a small shop. I got my first order today. It's not for a card but for a picture frame done like the dog card I made. I'm really excited. My friend said she would spread the word.

You can't see it but this has been embossed first and then colored with artist's chalk. I'm giving this one to my friend that possibly has cancer.

Beautiful! I love the Mother's Day card.

I recently got eyelet and wire and metalworking stuff for my birthday. I'm having a wonderful time with it too.

I always LOVED making my own cards!

When hubby & I were in college, we were in two different cities and I made him a card EVERY WEEK! After we got married & moved, I found a huge box . . . opened it . . . there were all of my cards that he'd saved!

There's just something special about a handmade card! :)

Thanks for sharing!

Cute. That last one is my favorite. I've still yet to use that ribbon. I have a ton of stuff.. my mom got $20 worth from Ruban Rouge the other day when she did a delivery there.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! I'm just going to keep posting the ones I make in this thread. I've had this one made for a while but forgot to take a pic of it. A few PTers will be receiving 3 of these cards.

Thanks! Some take longer than others. The one you like takes a long time because the sun is a stencil that has to be "colored" through with what is called a stylus.

Thanks a lot! I really enjoy making them. If you're interested, I can make some for you. Actually, I think I'm going to sell some on Ebay. The only thing that stops me is they want credit card info for their selling fees and they even want the 3 digit number on the back of the card. What if someone got a hold of that? That's why I haven't done it sooner and you can't choose to pay any other way.

I will send you a pm about the cards a little later Val! As for Ebay, my sister in law and her boyfriend do a lot of selling on Ebay. They havent had any problems with their credit card info being messed with. They also, use the pay pal a lot with Ebay. I dont really understand how it all works though. I have never sold anything on there. I think your cards would do wonderful on there. You would probably do really good around Christmas! Are you going to be making any Christmas cards?

These last three are for Jadapit's order. This first one is kind of hard to see but the metal says "Have a dog gone great day". I've outlined it in black ink and it's not hard to see in person. They also have matching envelopes.

I'm also making a congrats card for a woman at work and it's going to be really pretty, I think. I found some nice paper at the scrapbook store. I'll put that one here, too, when it's finished.

and if so how do you like it

i wanna use it on my scrapbook goodies but not too sure about it yet

It's just the metallic paper. It was hard to emboss. I probably won't use it much unless someone requests it. I use brass stencils to emboss on them.
