Here's our new foster babies!!!

This is Macey, she was an owner surrender ..... something about not having time or moving someplace were they can't take her or maybe it was a new baby .... I don't know, after awhile all the excuses seem to just blend together  . She is a sweet little Rottie girl about 6 weeks old.

This is Cocoa, her parent bought her while they lived in an apartment that didn't allow large dogs. They got caught and had to get rid of her. She is a Long Haired German Shepherd that is about 9 weeks old.

Thats really weird that all those families were in those situations with puppies. The pups are SO young, they must not have had them for more than a week or so? Oh well, they are cuties and I bet they'll get adopted fast.

It's puppy season ..... you would surprised how many puppies are looking for homes around here. We have two dog owners that have females that have gotten pregnant and want us to take the pups. We always offer to help out with spay/neuter their dogs and at the very least try to educate them as to why it is so important to have them "fixed" if they aren't breeding to better the breed. Sometimes it helps, other times we are just wasting our breath.

They seem to come in bunchs ...... sometimes we have no puppies for weeks and other times we are getting two or three phone calls/e-mails a day. We take what we can and refer the others to other rescues, or like the Lab Litter, we will take them b/c they need help right now and find another rescue to help them.

I'm sure it is only going to get worse over the next week or so because of people getting puppies they didn't want as Mother's Day gifts ...... BTW ....... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! to all the Mom's out there with fuzzy and not so fuzzy babies!! ....... :D

Keep an eye out ..... with this much cuteness running around my house I can't help but to take lots of pictures  !!!

Yeah, the shelters here are full of puppies and kittens. I just meant its so weird that each family kept the pup for such a short amount of time. Usually they keep them at least a couple months  At any rate, at least the pups can find their forever home sooner!
