I would like people, who can stomach the truth about declawing, to please read this (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78723)

And I hope you take the opportunity to crost post EVERYWHERE until people start listening.

I know,what torture,declawing,is for Cats,and that will never happen,to any Cat,or Kitten,that comes,into The Found Cat Hotel,even,if they tear,the place,down!

I'd just as soon surgically remove the tips of my OWN fingers......

Nope, Pixel's got better things to sharpen his claws on than my furniture anyway....

Mamma would never have a cat declawed! But she still doesn't have the stomach to read all about it...

I am happy that so many folks do not declaw, but please do not feel arrogant or superior because you are educated about it, or come from an area or background where declaw is not the normal procedure. Maybe even go to the DogHouse and read my reply. Don't get me wrong - declaw is mutilation, but let's come up with the best possible way to make it stop happening so often.

The story from a Petfinders link that is posted in the DogHouse is heartwrenching - but an effective education tool. Yes, there is a touch of arrogance in it, but not too much. I think if I had seen what the writer had seen - I would also have trouble wording the description any better.

Oh, and I can now say - I do not have my cats declawed. Please do not have yours declawed either.
