Anna And I Took The Furkids To The Park!

Yep, thats right! We took all the furkids to the dog park. Even my Katie:D! You have no idea how happy this made Katie and Me! I have been to this dog park before when Kay and Amy were visiting and since I knew it was a pretty big park and also divided into two separate parts I thought that it might be ok to take Katie on her 20ft leash and that way I could let her roam a bit and still keep her close. I asked Anna what she thought and she said that she thought it might work out too. Well, I was so surprised how well Katie did. I just can't believe it. Katie got along quite well with all the dogs. She had a couple little growls and snaps at some dogs that she didn't click with but it wasn't anything and I was able to snap her back since she was on a leash. What I am really really happy about is how well she did with Anna's furkids. They all just walked around together like it was normal. We didn't make a big deal about it and just walked along and there was not a single growl from any of the 5 dogs. Katie and Bon didn't have a problem and Roxey and Katie seemed fine also. That one really surpised me because Roxey and Katie have never got along. Anyway I could go on and on. I mean I don't think I will be able to take Katie up to Anna's house anytime soon but hey you never know what might happen in the future. I have to add that our big boy Bon did wonderful as well! I am just so proud of him and Katie both. Anna has a thread in dog behavior and you can read more about that there. I have to tell you that I experienced first hand the prejudice against "large black dogs". I really can't beleive people sometimes. Ok, I'm rambling sorry. The furkids all had a good time!!! Great pics glad to see them all having fun together. Your Katie looks like she used to be like my Mercedes glad she can go out with other dogs now I wish I could make that milestone with Mercedes, she doesn't like certain dogs just like Katie and she trys to attack them it makes me sooo sad though because I can't take her anywhere.
