Just letting you all know that last sunday Elvis got his first two Flyball Title's. He did very well and only messed around once which resulted in him being "Yellow carded" (Just a warning). His best time for the day was a little slower than usual and was 4.44 Seconds.

I am so proud and all of the hard work has paid off. Ohhh and Elvis is in the top 5 fastest Flyball dogs in the state. In the last race of the day Elvis was running head to head with his Uncle who is in a team with anothe club. Uncle Astro is alot older but they were pretty much running the same times.

The results ended up being.... Elvies team came in first place in the highest division :D. And poor Clovers team came 5th in division 3 lol, but the dogs had fun so it does not matter. There were no prizes for the day as it was a charity fundraiser for a dog rescue

I will have photos coming from friends, because i obviously was unable to get photos of my own dogs running ;).

Wow, way to go Elvis!! How long has he been training for flyball??? He sounds like quite the awesome dog! It's funny looking back at the VERY first day/first lessons (atleast for Zeke) cause he was horrible. He wouldn't focus around the other dogs or anything. I didn't think he'd be able to do it

Thanks Audrey :D. El is about 19 months old and has been training since he was 8 weeks old.

8 weeks you say? it all started out with recalls on flat ground to a tug toy and then when he was a little older we started to get him to retrieve a stationary ball on flat ground. And then when he was a little older he started full puppy runs Box/ turning board, NO jumps and then back for the motivator. So when he turned 12 months old we started him on low jumps and it just all fell into place.

He was horrible up until he hit about 16 months old and would chase the other dog, run off etc and then one day it clicked and he stopped chasing and became the 90% of the time focussed dog he is now.

Zeke sure has come along way aswell, all credit goes to you and your trainers for doing a great job. l

congrats elvis! lol the times is Oz are so differnt from here! lol I am used to 20 second seed times being in division 3 or 4 lol

6th Place - Croydon Rocket Space Cadets - BT 30.71 secs

lol corse I have never seen a team with a best time of 30 seconds before either :o gosh compared to what I am used to that is incredably slow!

Elvis's times are about what Mistys are at the moment, at tournys anyway lol she is more confident in practice and runs faster then the storm dogs(though I think its her turn that makes the differnce, that dog has an amazing box turn, which is probably what gives her the lead lol)

lol I love talken flyball talk around people who dont have a clue what we are talking about :D
