My brother's aunt's and uncle's dog died last week. :( They brought her in to be PTS. She was almost 14 years old. They has said that they thought last year would be her last summer, so they were surprised she made it this long. My brother's uncle had to take the whole week off of work because he was so distraught.

Here is Breaux. She was a Golden retriever/Labrador retriever mix, though she looked nothing like one to me. I always commented on how she reminded me of a catahoula, mostly in her younger days...She had plenty of grit. She was a great dog. She used to be pure black, but look how grey and white she'd gotten. Her favourite thing in the world to do was fish. She would literally just stand in the river, very still and quiet, and grab fish.

Bless her heart. I know even though they were expecting it, it didn't make it any easier when the time came. :( Play free, young, and healthy again at the Rainbow Bridge, dearest Breaux. You are loved and missed. Await your people happily at the bridge, Angel.
