View Full Version : Another needy bottle baby ....

Only a few hours after releasing the two sick babies back to the other rescue, I got a phone call. A tiny 2-3 week old baby was found at a place of business. By the time I checked my message, the woman had already taken it home with her from work. Later last evening we spoke by phone. I told her to buy the KMR and put the baby on a heating pad or under a warm lamp. This morning she took it to her vet .... who said it "looked good" .... so I guess no real tests were done, but I'm glad it didn't appear sickly. I just really try to avoid the sick ones as much as possible these days, unless I am their last resort. They just worry me so, and I can't handle the extra stress right now.

Anyway, since this baby appears to be fine, and has a good healthy looking figure, I will take care of her. Glad there is only the one as well ... makes it much easier to focus. So, wish us both luck for a successful catmom / baby bonding!;)

Haven't named her yet, of course .... we only got her home around 5pm this evening. She looks to be a himmy mix. Should be really pretty.

You're an angel, Kim! She does look so needy & pitiful all alone in that cage! Breaks my heart! I'm so glad that you're going to take care of her though . . . I'm sure you'll find her a good home quickly! She's too cute!

Send her to me!!!! What a tiny beauty Kim! Definately looks like blue-point or lilac point meezer mix. :) :) If there was one, there's bound to be more where she was found. Maybe mom was in the process of relocating the litter, and got scared off. Lucky baby. ;)

It looks adorable from what I can see. I love the little ones that need to be bottle fed, but I have enough to deal with, with taking care of the grandbaby these days.

I have no idea what her story was ... or even where / how she was found ... just that somebody had her at their workplace and was desperately trying to find some rescue to take her in. *sigh*

She is SOoooooooo cute! "Heather" is a perfect name for her, too---she looks like a "Heather" to me. She is so tiny, she makes Shadow look big to me now. After adopting Shadow and failing at my first "foster parent" job in the process, I don't know if I could take on any more just "temporarily". I think what you do is wonderful, and she will benefit from the early socialization with people, like my Angel and now Shadow have done, and will find a wonderful furever home eventually..... It's too bad she had to be away from her mother at such a young age, but there must be a reason for it, and for her coming to you.....:)

Oh wow, she is gorgeous! I think Heather is a great name for her too!!

I think you will have a hard time not getting attached to that adorable one. I know I'm at my limit now but seeing pictures like this makes it hard to remember that.
