I was just wondering how many of you give your cat heartworm prevention & what brand?

They say heartworm is not *as bad* in cats as dogs, but they can still get it. The mosquitos are TERRIBLE at my house so I think I'm going to put Meko on it this year. Better to be safe than sorry.

Cats usually do not have the numbers of heartworms, but heartworms may be more harmful because the chest cavity of the cat is much smaller than the dogs. One may see worms in the lungs...which is not good.

I like Revolution and that is what I treat my kitties with.

Sorry, don't have much time, but this is the website for Revolution for cats. I recently saw a pamphlet on this and would recommend it in areas where there are tons of mosquitoes.

I'm going to recommend it to my mom for their outside kitty because it prevents more than heartworms.
