As we have so many different nationalities here on Pettalk, it would be great to know more about each other's country!
I suggest that we all promote our own Country/state. Do this with links to great sites, pics, and some comments. Maybe, if you do a great job, you will get an invasion of PT-ers ;) (oh my, I'd LOVE that!!)

So, here we go!

BELGIUM

Belgium is a little the little country. It is about the size of Maryland. It is beautiful, it's practically next door to Paris, London and Amsterdam,
You can visit so many things: medieval cities, quaint towns, gothic cathedrals and town halls, castles and carillons will keep you busy during the day. At night go to a pub, there are more than 350 delicious beers to chose from. The reputation of our gourmet food makes the French jealous and it is almost impossible to find chocolates as good as ours !

Oklahoma is where I was born and raised. It is mostly flat but it is known for it's slow paced and horses. It is named the horse capital of the world. People from all over America gather here to perform in horse shows of all types. It's nick name is the panhandle state. The summers here are pretty hot, the Spring brings some pretty nasty tornadic storms (which are facinating as long as they are not near you) and winter, snow, and fall, the best time of the year, the leaves turn awesome colors and the smell of the air turn sweet.

That would be Lexington, Kentucky actually. There are more horses per capita in Lexington than anywhere else (mainly all Thoroughbreds). ;) At least that is what I learned at the Kentucky Horse Park- they could be wrong. There are a lot of horses in Oklahoma too, I do remember that (from when I was last there)!

I am from Wisconsin, it is a very beautiful state to live in with a huge diversity of landscapes, nature, and "living styles". If you are a person who loves the outdoors, Wisconsin is definately the state for you. White-tail deer, black bear, mountain lions, moose, elk, turkeys, ruffed grouse, wild pigs, prairie chickens, and bobcat are some of the animals in Wisconsin. The weather can be a little wacko; it is winter 10 months out of the year and summer 2 months out of the year. Sometimes it's opposite- and we experience mild winters (those are the best!). Wisconsin in fall is an experience within itself- it is absolutely breathtaking, especially around the LaCrosse area on the Mississippi River with the big bluffs in fall color...amazing!
