Literally? A couple of the better shots I got today (a BEAUTIFUL day YAY) Sorry so big, I feel they need to be bigger so you can see the details

I was sad, I couldn't find any Chickadee's to take pics of. Everytime I saw one, I ran to get the cam and by the time I was back they were gone :(

Some bees (I really like how these came out!)

I'm not good with distance...Pretty close though, but not TOO close cause I was afraid they'd sting me :o

Yeah, I hear you. I'm vary wary of bees, yellow jackets, etc.
They seem to come right after me. Scary.

I'm not to familiar with the zoom feature of the camera to know
how far to stand back. Yours turned out great.

Those are amazing! I can't imagine how they can be even better than that. I think you could probably get a job as a photographer somewhere. Maybe you could submit those to a nature magazine?

What goreous pictures! What type of camera do you use to get such clear closeups?

Thanks ^^ I have a canon rebel. I used the normal lens for the bees, and my telephoto lens for the birds (they were pretty far up in the tree)

I'll have to ~hint~hint to hubby next time he decides to buy a new camera. Ours is ancient, and a battery pig.

This one uses lithium batteries (they last longer, and it's a battery pack so it can be recharged)
It's also an SLR so amung other things you can't use the LCD monitor to look though to take the pic (hope that made sense) anyway it uses less batteries for that

It's pretty expensive, but I think the price has dropped a bit since when I got it
